What in the world is going on in Oregon? There appear to be multiple disputes Oregonian ranchers are having with US government agencies over land rights. Some alternative media journalists have cited UN Agenda 21 as the core basis for these disputes. Pope Francis became the first Pope in history to address a joint session of US Congress in September 2015. What did His Holiness promote during those historic sessions? Agenda 21. What is Agenda 21 – is it similar to any legislation drawn up in the past? Before addressing the tenets of Agenda 21, we will first explore what the Bible has to say about this very important subject: land rights.
After the children of Israel escaped from the land of Egypt, the Lord swore that he would give to them a certain piece of land in Canaan; and he brooded over them – determined to fulfill his promise:
Then He inaugurated Joshua the son of Nun, and said, “Be strong and of good courage; for you shall bring the children of Israel into the land of which I swore to them, and I will be with you.” (Deuteronomy 31:23)
Each Jewish tribe was given their own piece of land as a heritage for their descendants who would follow them:
These are the areas which the children of Israel inherited in the land of Canaan, which Eleazar the priest, Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel distributed as an inheritance to them. Their inheritance was by lot, as the Lord had commanded by the hand of Moses, for the nine tribes and the half-tribe. For Moses had given the inheritance of the two tribes and the half-tribe on the other side of the Jordan…. For the children of Joseph were two tribes: Manasseh and Ephraim….As the Lord had commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did; and they divided the land. (Joshua 14: 1-5)
The Lord instructed the children of Israel to observe what is called the “Year of Jubilee”. During that year, everyone who was heavily indebted and had to sell their land as a result, would be given back the land of their inheritance.
In the Year of Jubilee the field shall return to him from whom it was bought, to the one who owned the land as a possession. And all your valuations shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary: twenty gerahs to the shekel. (Leviticus 27:24)
If any were enslaved because of their debts, they would be given emancipation. The year of Jubilee ensured the continuity of the tribe members’ lands, resources and fortunes; all would be preserved as an inheritance to future generations.
The Lord described this safe time in Israel’s history, with a connection to land rights for the children of Israel:
And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, each man under his vine and his fig tree, from Dan as far as Beersheba, all the days of Solomon. (1 Kings 4:25)
So what do these ancient Scriptures have to do with Oregon, or Agenda 21?
The “new” Agenda 21 of the new world order is anything but new. It is based on well-known tenets of Communist Marxism: Abolition of private ownership of land, and abolition of inheritance. These Marxist tenets are directly opposed to the ancient paths of Biblical instruction. Under Marxist principle, all land belongs to the government. Is it any surprise that the American execution of Agenda 21 has caused deep unrest among ranchers whose families have owned their land for decades? Steadily, the government has been using draconian methods to take land from ranchers across the United States. Ironically, the Constitution of the United States restricts federal land ownership. With the exception of “forts, magazines, arsenals, dock-yards, and other needful buildings” (and even then, purchases are via “consent of the legislature of the state”), the founding fathers penned that the federal government is not authorized to own land (Article I, Section 8, Clause 17). Yet the federal government has amassed many acres of farm and ranch lands across the United States. How much land does the government own? According to this article by Heritage.org:
In 1996, the General Accounting Office reported that the federal government owned a staggering 650 million acres, or one-third of the land in the United States.
Ammon Bundy said goodbye (hopefully only temporarily) to his wife and six children in order to lead an armed protest based out of the empty Malheur Wildlife Refuge building approximately thirty miles outside of Burns, Oregon. Many have decried their decision to overtake the wildlife building, but the protesters believe their cause is just and right, and are willing to face fines, imprisonment, and even death to raise awareness for what they believe are gross injustices in Harney County, Oregon. The main stream media points out that the Harney County citizens do not want Ammon and his people there – yet many citizens have come to them privately to say they are afraid of government retribution. And still other locals have brought the men food and resources. Independent Journalist, Pete Santilli has been live-streaming since Day 1 of the protest, and many things which come to light during his streams, never see the light of day on main stream media. This is not surprising given that all main stream media is owned by six corporate conglomerates. Consequently, main stream media channels are paid to report the party line. Their collective propaganda machines are infinitely more sophisticated and effective than anything Stalin or Hitler could have imagined.
Independent Journalist Dave Hodges details an interview with Ammon Bundy wherein Hodges connects the UN Agenda 21 with protests in Burns, Oregon. Central to the activity in Burns is the case of Oregon ranchers Dwight and Steve Hammond. They left their homes to report to federal prison – for the second time – on January 4, 2016. They already served a sentence for Arson, and now they are serving a sentence for Terrorism – for the same “crime”. The Hammonds are accused of starting a fire on their own land, which is normal for any rancher, but this fire spread to government-owned BLM property. Hodges gives this account:
During the course of the interview, Ammon made the case that the federal prosecutors violated Double Jeopardy when dealing with the Hammonds. He also made the case that the role of his men was to correct the abuses against ranchers and farmers by the departments of the federal government (e.g. BLM). They are reviewing land titles, mineral rights documents and seeing that these agreements are carried out. For example, he told the audience of how they freed the unjustly encumbered land of a rancher by removing a fence placed on the private land of a rancher by Fish and Wildlife. The fence was illegally interfering with the rancher’s right to conduct economic activity on their land. In fact, it can be said, the Bundy led patriots are the only lawful group in the area as these kinds of property rights abuses are being carried by the federal government against thousands of ranchers and farmers in the West.
The goal of these illegal land grab federal activities is to enforce Agenda 21 dictates from the United Nations and vacate all rural land of private ownership in the West. These cases are so numerous, that there is no denying this claim. ¹
What about the government violation of “double jeopardy”, which is a US Constitution, 5th Amendment protection designed to prevent “the prosecution of a person twice for the same offense“? Does the violation of “double jeopardy” protection find its roots in other forms of government?
Alexandr Solzhenitsyn describes “second camp terms” in the notorious Soviet concentration camps he referred to as the “archipelago”:
…In 1938, second camp terms were given out without any second arrest, without a camp interrogation, without a camp court, when the prisoners were simply called up in brigades to the Records and Classification Section and told to sign for their second terms. (For refusing to sign—you were simply put in punishment block, as for smoking where it wasn’t allowed.) And they also had it all explained to them in a very human way: “We aren’t telling you that you are guilty of anything, but just sign that you have been informed.”… And it was useless to try to get out of it as if, in the dark infinity of the Archipelago, eight was in any way distinct from eighteen, or a tenner at the start from a tenner at the end of a sentence. The only important thing was that they did not claw and tear your body today. ²
Next we will highlight the case of Frenchglen ranchers in Oregon. In this youtube video, BLM agents start fires on ranchers’ property, destroying houses and livestock.
In the youtube video above, one can easily see the distressed cows with burns and blood marks as they are struggling to breathe – immersed in thick smoke from BLM fires. Where are the Animal Rights and Environmental groups now? Be assured, that most special interest groups will go along with Agenda 21. The cost of dissent is just too high.
We may sit back and criticize the methods of Bundy and his men, but as we articulate our dissent, the tenets of Agenda 21 are likely being drawn up for our properties, lands and homes. Perhaps one day we may only wish for an Ammon Bundy who would selflessly arise to our defense.
